while home for christmas, i stopped into one of my favorite boutiques, calzatura. the new owner, elizabeth s (reinventingtheheel) was kind enough to let me take pictures of the store's facelift. elizabeth is a down to earth sweetheart, total fashionista--the girl knows her stuff--and fellow sam edelman lover.

my pick: an armful of mixed metal bangles and a zipper-happy "leather" jacket (uber-soft, you'd have to check the tag to even know it was faux). the bottom zips off smoothly to be worn as a cropped version.

in my ongoing quest to pare down and simplify my life, i have a weird fascination with what people choose to carry with them. i am a little obsessed with looking through photos, even descriptions, of what you can find inside a woman's bag. it's usually a sacred place that men don't dare tread because *omg* you might find a tampon.





at any given time: wallet, ID, starbucks card, blackberry, pill case, multiple lip balms, micron pens, epipen, KIND bar, iPod, keys, cash, hair clip.
