edited.

when it comes to clothes, i've always been a fan of clean basics--with a twist. the perfect drapey black t-shirt; a sheer white tank with dropped armholes. no one does re-imagined classics better than alexander wang.

with a neutral palette.
a simple gradient manages to look fresh and new.
a carefully edited selection.
i haven't pared down as much as i'd like, and i haven't gotted *rid* of items not showcased, but i'm trying to nail down my personal style with only a handful of pieces.
what made the cut:
-2 pairs of dark wash skinny denim
-destroyed vintage levi's jean shorts
-2 skirts
-1 black dress
-1 black cardigan
-helmut lang blazer
-several black tops, but only the best (2 from t by alexander wang)
-a few solid picks in the grey family (vpl, twenty8twelve--both thrifted)
-2 maxi dresses, one with short sleeves
-sequined chunky sweater
-silk vest (great layering piece)
-1 white dress
-1 white tank (h&m--cheap to replace when dingy)

causing a scene.

jeffrey campbell is arguably one of the most over-the-top shoe designers. the "lita" shoe is one of his most popular due to its unique shape and almost-impossible-to-find-in-one's-size behavior. they don't make a *ton* of them and very few stores carry them. opt for mail order; these babies are worth it.

part sexy goth (model felice fawn).
part bohemian.
part fashionista.
for my first pair, i opted for completely over-the-top.

crimped.

sure, it's a bit 80s. and finding a crimping iron was no easy task. but i love it. the texture, the ridiculous volume, the level at which it turns heads. looks amazing flowing freely or exploding from a ponytail.

gothic strands.
mermaid hair.
peeking out.
yeah, the lavender is still around.

lavender.

having always held corporate-based jobs (catering, valet, starbucks barista), I was never able to express myself with visible tattoos and multi-colored hair. now that i have my first big girl job, i still have to be work appropriate, but it's a nice change to be able to take it a little further.

shades of extensions.
amazing.
lavender icicles.
i had to settle for pravana hair dye due to availability. i used a thimble-full of dye to a full cup of conditioner to dilute the color. only left it on about 60 seconds before rinsing, and it *still* came out this vibrant.
fading nicely, though.

terra firma.

moss takes over anything it can, but in a gentle way. anything but unobtrusive, yet it's rarely frowned upon.
succulents in glass vessels.
forest getaway.
my own tiny terrarium, since i can't be trusted with actual living organisms.
close up.

real vampires don't glitter, just our jewelry does.

amazing crowned skull.
hands in. LOVE the three-finger snake ring.
caged.
bracelets: urban thread, calzatura, nordstrom.
rings: urban outfitters, bcbg (skull), made her think (talon).
my favorites; i keep them close at hand in a hardcover book i hollowed out.
